The basic baked potato in the campfire is great with butter and a bit of salt and pepper, but it won't be a great deal different than a baked potato cooked at home and prepared the same way. For some reason, a potato cooked in the campfire tastes infinitely different (and better) than a potato cooked any other way.
Wash them and dry, coat with olive or vegetable oil. Bury the potatoes in the hot coals. An alternate method, if you don't want to eat the skins, is to just put the sweet potato right down into the coals to bake.
